There is no better source of clean and natural energy than the sun. It is believed that it radiates more than 10,000 times the amount of energy that the entire world would consume annually. Given its abundance, solar energy can cater to the ever-increasing demand for fuel and make for an efficient source of renewable energy. Solar energy is not only sustainable, its renewable this means we will never run out of it. It is probably the only source of energy that emits no noise while generating power. In addition, it is modular, scalable and highly flexible in nature.
With the world getting hotter by 1% every year because of Industrialization, abundance of use of Air conditioners, Refrigerators, migration to the cities, miss use around the world on destroying forests for the use of housing and paper are few of the problems which is destroying the environment. We as a nation have to do our part to produce sustainable energy for a better future for our next generations. Currently, Germany is the largest solar power producing country in the world with the said power generation of around 38K MW, China stands at the 2nd rank with around 28K MW, whereas Japan enjoys 3rd rank by producing around 23K MW of energy from Solar Resources. Also, India is producing around 8K MW of its electricity from solar energy.
In the long run, electricity generated from solar energy systems will be far more cost-effective than any other type of power supply. Not only can power generation become profitable at break-even, despite relatively high initial set-up cost, but solar energy is free from cost escalation. Pakistan gets on average 10.5 hours of sunlight and 6 hours of peak sunlight. Pakistan is densely populated and has high solar insolation, an ideal combination for use of solar power.
SEL aims to power Pakistan communities by providing clean and cost-effective solar electricity. Once the solar panels have been installed and are working at maximum efficiency there is small amount of proper maintenance required each year to ensure they are in working order.
